Corium’s proprietary MicroCor™
produces an array of microstructures that mechanically creates reversible “micro-pores”
in the outer skin barrier to facilitate transdermal delivery. The technology is
covered by over 50 patents that were acquired from Procter & Gamble. The microstructure
array can be fabricated from a variety of materials (including flexible polymers)
using a continuous embossing process that allows for reproducible, low cost and
high volume production. The microstructure array is integrated into custom designed
delivery systems for painless administration of small and large molecular weight
molecules through the skin.

Key Benefits:
|
Eliminates fear and pain of needles |
 |
Self administration, user friendly |
|
Delivers proteins, peptides and vaccines through the skin |
|
Attractive to third party payers |
|
Broad based acute and chronic therapy |
|
Significant patent coverage by Corium |
